Throughout your adult life there are many celebrations to go to for friends, family and even co-workers. Most of the larger milestone events such as the birth of a baby, a wedding, a graduation are usually announced with special announcements whether it is a card in the mail or via email. These kind of photo announcements show a photo of the person of honor . A more traditional announcement could be sent for a a new move or the start of someone’s new business . A majority of these require a gift to be sent following receipt of the announcement.
What should you get the bride to be when invited to her wedding ? This depends on many factors, mainly what kind of relationship you have to the bride. If it is a very close friend or relative you may want to get her that expensive place setting of china that she can cherish for years to come . But, if it is the coworkers relative , then a little gift from her registry is more than appropriate, such as a photo frame.
Now you are asked to attend a graduation party celebrating the high school graduation of the neighbor that babysat your children over the years. You may choose to buy them a gift card to their favorite place or perhaps make a creative gift basket of all of the necessary items to survive their first year in a dorm room. A couple of smaller events in peoples lives are worthy of sending an announcement and therefore as equally worthy of giving a present . When people move, they usually want to notify their friends and family of this huge change and to also notify them their new contact information. Many times, there is a going away party for a friend or relative that is moving when you should bring a gift.
